This is a bot that I made. It exists on Twitter. Since GIFs on Twitter are converted into MP4 files, they’re not as easy to keep, download, organize, &c. Everyone loves GIFs is what I am saying. TheGIFingBot exists to return the MP4s to their true, GIF form and make GIFs shareable on Twitter again.
The bot will never tweet out the link to the file you converted or mention you (everything is sent via Direct Messages), so there’s no spam here or anything like that.
Instructions:
- Follow the bot.
- The bot will follow you back.
- Find any tweet that contains an embeded GIF, which are actually video files on Twitter.
- Click on the little ellipsis in the tweet and click “Share via Direct Message.”
- DM the tweet to TheGIFingBot and it will DM you back a link to a real GIF.
